"Modern Times" Clip (1936)

Factory Work is a scene from "Modern Times" that takes gruesome factory work that numerous Americans faced and adds a comedic spin on it. Chaplin is a factory worker that frequently jokes around and gets distracted easily. Charlie Chaplin creates this film to add relieve to the audience members that face vigorous amounts of factory work by giving them a good laugh. People saw this scene and were able to see their work in a more optimistic viewpoint. It helped the 1920’s roar by taking the bad and adding a happy/funny view on it.
