CHARLIE CHAPLIN

The Charlie Chaplin Blooper Reel shows various bloopers from many of Chaplin’s films. Although the video is full of bloopers and mess-ups that occurred during the filming of most of his films, it shows how Charlie Chaplin entertained himself and was a real human being. Chaplin’s primary purpose was to entertain the people of America by adding comedic relief to their lives. However, Chaplin himself enjoyed making these films. Acting, directing, and filming was a true passion that Charlie Chaplin had. We chose to add this to our exhibit because it shows a side of Chaplin that the public is not familiar with. It further shows his personality as a fun, loving man. It made the 1920’s roaring because the entertainers were entertaining themselves as well, showing that every aspect of the 1920’s was exciting.
